obligatory 2011 post, aww yeeah.
- i used tumblr a lot less. sorry? it’s been a busy year
- i worked my fucking tits off to pay for my trip to europe, and that trip was amazing
- i started modelling nude
- i went to the harry potter 7 london premiere with my best friend and even though it wasn’t exactly easy or perfect, i am still so proud to have that memory
- my other best friend left the country half way through the year on exchange and i feel like a bit of my soul is gone. so she’s a horcrux? idk. but it sucks.
- i saw some amazing theatre in Perth and in London, and saw some of my favourite actors perform live, in theatres I’ve always wanted to go to
- i co-directed a really good show. it was experimental and challenging and engaging and everything i want to make in theatre, and it did really well
- i took that show to a festival and it did well there too
- i got a slot for that show at the mother fucking state theatre next year
- i got a new job, and i really love it
- i bought some amazing clothes and shoes
- i auditioned for the drama schools and didn’t get in, but got a phone call from one advising me that i was “very employable” and that further drama education would be a bit silly for me at this point - so that was crazy flattering. but still a pretty big loss not to get in.
- i’ve had to adapt to the idea that i’m probably not meant to be an actor
- i’ve become a promising director, and i’m so excited
- i’ve started exercising regularly and hope i can keep that up
- housemate josh and i managed to not kill each other after a whole year of living together
- i got a cat! she is the best.
- and i finished my degree! bam.
this year was life-changing, for sure. some of the pills were pretty hard to swallow, but i’m excited to prove myself as an artist, and try and hold on really damn hard to the amazing relationships i’ve forged over the past few years.
